Religious books should be understood

All the religious books had been written and complied centuries ago and that is the reason most of us do not understand the true meanings of the texts and the people who are reciting these religious books to us and are trying to give us the meanings of those texts are not really so wise and educated and that is the reason, we are not understanding the correct meanings what had been said in these religious books. That is the reason the people in different religions are going apart from each other and most of us are turning fundamentalists in spite of the fact that all the religious books are giving us the same guidelines and there is nothing different in any of the religious books. Therefore, time has come when we should translate all the religious books and this translation work should be carried out by intellectuals who are also understanding the psychology of the present generation and then these religious books should be available in the market either on reasonable price or should be distributed free of costs so that people in different religions may have the occasion to read religious books of different religions. Till these books are concentrated to the religion to which they belong, there shall not be common thoughts amongst the people and there are chances that the people shall remain divided in different religions and there shall be fights amongst these religions.
 

We have noted that the religions had been guiding us, but in history, we have noted that religions had not been playing suitable role. In India ,we have been noting that when the Muslims came here, they started converting the Hindus to the Muslim religion and when the Christians came in India and started ruling here, they started converting Hindus to the Christian religion. During the Muslim times so many Hindu temples had been demolished and on the same places the Muslim rulers had been establishing Masjids to show that the Hindu religion was a weak religion and the Muslim religion is stronger than the Hindus religion. All these activities are not recognized in any of the religions, but those had been carried out and it is on record that the people who are not willing to convert were killed by the ruling people.
Religion may stand at their own places, but at the same time their teachings should be shared by all on this earth and that shall be possible only if all the contents in all the religious books are open to the general public through a language which is understood by the people of today and those old texts are required to be translated in modern languages which are understood by the people in each region. When religious teachings of all religions are the same, those should be available to all and should not be concentrated to the people of particular religion.
 

This work must start now because such rehearsal had been there even earlier. Here in India there had been a movement in name and style of' 'Bhagati Movement' and the works of the people show us that all the religions are telling us the same things and are giving us the same guide lines. That movement should be revived once again and to start this movement, we should translate our old texts and should be available in all the languages and should be available to all so that the readers could develop a sense of oneness in the world. Till the people are divided on the basis of different religions with different thoughts, this world would not be able to acquire a position of Heaven. It shall continue as a Hell and the people shall never be united and go ahead united.
